Teacher Tune Up: Cuing & Assists with Gina Caputo in Kansas City, MO
In light of current science around stretching, flexibility and injury as well as a greater understanding of trauma’s impact on the body-mind complex, Yoga teachers are being called to evolve towards more informed and sensitive teaching skills. The “tradition” we often fall back on is not always the most up-to-date nor relevant to the practitioners of today and can even be injurious and traumatizing. In this continuing education workshop, we’ll explore the roots of Hands On Assists, where they help and where they hurt, the current science of stretching including Active Range of Motion and Passive Range of Motion and how to uplevel your cuing to not only be extremely effective in developing better proprioception and interoception but also to significantly reduce the risk of injuring or triggering trauma in a student by using the Integrated Vinyasa™ methods.
This program includes history, theory and technique as well practicum and feedback on your application of these new techniques!
You’ll walk away with next-level techniques for both verbally cuing and offering hands on insight to support your students’ evolutionary journey. Investment includes a full-color manual and counts for 10 Continuing Education Hours for Registered Yoga Teachers through Yoga Alliance - you will receive a certificate of completion from the Colorado School of Yoga.
